Schuberth C3 Helmet - Is it really good for BWM 2012 K1600GT?

I'm looking to buy a couple of these helmets. Most reviews say that these helmets are awesome. In fact BMW recommends this as their preferred helmet.

But I am hearing feedback from owners on forums that this is the loudest helmet they have ever worn. Reading posts for hours I believe that the problem is the that the BMW has a fairing. This faring causes eddie currents to stream by the helmet and hit at angles causing extreme helmet noise. The proof was also interesting in that if on that same BMW you stood up on the front foot pegs while riding, the helmet now on straight in the air went nearly silent.

So my question is this?

What are my alternatives, or will all like helmets suffer the same fate on this bike.

Lastly, BMW makes their own helmet, also manufactured by Schumerth and sold as the "BMW System 6 Helmet". This is not for sale in America but can be ordered from England or Canada and shipped here.

I've got an awesome bike in the K1600 but I need a helmet that works. Any recommendations?

Thank you!

Is the Schuberth Bluetooth Communication System compatible with other Bluetooth intercom systems such as the Scala G4?

Yes, both are made by Cardio. The users manual states that work together.

Are these the same size as BMW Helmets?

I have a 60-61 system 5 helmet, so would I be the same in the schuberth? I believe in the BMW I'd be a 61-62 in the flip-up, as they are a slightly tighter fit. And I can't try on a schuberth as we don't have them here.
No, there are several differences, actually completely diffieredt designs but both made by Schuberth. The System 6 is a soft shell helmet. Not DOT3 certified and is not supposed to be used (also not sold) in the USA.

But they can be ordered from England or Canada and shipped to USA. But again, not street legal in USA.

FYI, soft does not mean bad, just that Europe has different thoughts as to which helmet shell type is safer.

From original poster, me...

The Schuberth manual in small print also states that the voice cancellation qualities of the C3 can be compromised on "faired" motorcycles. The faring causing disturbances in the wind path that the helmet was not designed for.
