I purchased these jeans because I had one set from strength and speed, and I wanted a second set that were different.
I ride a sport bike every day in heavy traffic and on the weekends and pretty much just about everywhere I go. I like the kevlar jeans because I get tired of using over pants for protection.
They fit good and were true to size, however I prefer boot cut and these are more straight leg cut. I knew that going in though. I'm tall 6' 2" and most of my height is in my legs and these were perfect on and off the bike.
Last week I low sided my bike at over 40 mph thanks to some idiot cage driver. I was wearing these jeans, a good jacket, riding shoes and gloves. The jeans held up great. Of course the denim tore, but the kevlar underneath was unscathed and subsequently so was my skin. NOT A SCRATCH!!! Most of the damage to the jeans was in the seat, the hip and the knee and if I had not been wearing these jeans I would have had some major road rash.
It is expensive to buy kevlar jeans, but I know people who spend as much or more on the fancy name brand jeans. If you ride as much as I do get your self a few pairs.
I withheld the fifth star because although they saved my skin in a slide, I just didn't like the styling as much as my other pair. More personal preference. My other pair are the run with bull jeans from strength and speed.
