6D ATR-1 Chaos Helmet A true breakthrough in helmet technology, the 6D ATR-1 off-road helmet incorporates revolutionary Omni-Directional Suspension ( ODS ) technology which is a patent-pending kinetic energy management solution. We haven't seen anything like this before, but preliminary results show a dramatic reduction in low-threshold engery transfer for 6D Helmets. ODS is designed to protect your brain over a broader range of impact energy, particularly lowthreshold energy prevalent in most accidents. Low-threshold impact energy is the primary cause of concussion and second impact syndrome. Independent laboratory testing also confirms a significant reduction in angular acceleration energy with ODS. Angular acceleration is the primary cause of rotational brain injury, which is a potentially deadly and life-changing impairment. The improved performance of 6Ds exclusive ODS technology can reduce the likelihood and propensity of concussion over traditional helmet designs. Although no helmet can protect you from all potential impacts or injury, the 6D ATR-1 was engineered to provide active free-motion capability within the helmets protective liner and exceed current relevant helmet standards. The ATR-1's exclusive Air Gap cooling system incorporates 13 interior transfer ports, 8 intake ports, and 5 exhaust ports. The amount of time and energy devoted to moving air through 6D Helmets is second to none. Extensive front-to-back ventilation channels are fed by 3 large upper eyeport intake ports and 2 aggressive brow intake ports. These intake ports combined with chin bar vent openings channel cool air into the ATR-1s air gap flushing hot air and moisture out the rear of the helmet. Features ODS ( Omni-Directional Suspension ) Technology Air-Gap Technology Shell made from advanced aerospace carbon fiber, composite fiberglass and Kevlar Large eyeport opening Removable contoured roost guard Integrated traction posts at the eyeport Rear Delta vent evacuates air by creating a low-pressure venturi effect Clavicle cut-away reduces both mass and weight, while providing increased clavicle clearance without sacrificing strength Fully compatible with all neck braces Titanium D rings and chin strap rivets Removal, washable comfort liner made from CoolMax anti-bacterial fabric Emergency release cheek pads Sternum pad provides a progressive surface for added protection of the chin, jaw and sternum in the event of an accident Shear-away visor screws Stainless steel screens protect all shell openings Exclusive 6D graphics Comes with deluxe 6D Works Helmet Bag Weight +/- 1,490 grams 3-year limited warranty Exceeds DOT and ECE standards

Bought my ATR1 at a local dealer because they owed me a 350 dollar credit from an old warranty claim, otherwise I'd have bought it from zilla...
That being said, this is the best fitting helmet I've ever owned. The bag is awesome, the fit and finish of the helmet is world class. I'm truly amazed at how light it is.
It fits the Sena SMH10R kit perfectly, almost like it was made for it. Great airflow, it was 88 today and I just love the combination with the helmet and my 100% racecraft goggles.
I ordered the yellow, the only drawback is it is almost like a neon greenish yellow, not the plain yellow I was shooting for.
I can't say enough good things about this helmet.

Apparently I have larger cheeks than most people because I always need to swap out the cheek pads. I traded my 20mm stock XD3 pads out for these 12's and am very happy with the fit and the break in on them.
They break in about 2mm on the 12's vs about 4mm on the 20's

I got this helmet in trade from a fly trekker DS. The fit was large, and didn't fit my head as well as I'd hoped but I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the helmet and the fit and finish.
Also I love the ratchet chin strap I wish my Arais had them. Overall I wish it would have fit me better it was a great helmet at a great value.

This is a decent glove. The fingers are a little long for my hands, but overall I like the fit. Probably a little high in the price point but I am happy with them.
they have great lever grip and give full confidence on the bars.

 Arai XD-3 Bosch Helmet
Arai XD-3 Bosch Helmet
Arai XD-3 Bosch Helmet High-flow peak channels air directly into the front vents. Twin-cam Shield Pivot System allows the face shield to operate fully under a peak that can be lowered for better aerodynamics. Can be configured with shield and peak, peak only (for use with goggles) or shield only. Fully Removable/Replaceable and washable liner with optional sizes available for a custom fit. 4 top vents. Dual Intake / Dual Exhaust Ventilation-dual I/C top intake vents and Double Delta bridged exhaust vents designed to draw significant volumes of air from helmet interior. CLC (Complex Laminate Construction) shell-fiberglass composite is stronger and lighter-allows use of softer, less-dense liner materials inside for increased rider comfort. Efficient chinbar vent (with interior and exterior controls) flows fresh air to the mouth area or across the shield interior to help prevent fogging. Large chinbar side exhaust vents draw out additional hot air. Meets or exceeds Snell and D.O.T. standards. Note The peak/visor supplied is not suitable for high-speed use where air striking a side or main surface of the peak may cause difficulty in returning the head to a forward and/or level position

I had originally bought a Fly Trekker DS helmet, but found the fit to be way too tight in the cheeks, I then went with an AFX FX39 and stepped it up a size, it was much too large.
After some debate I decided to go with the Arai XD3 because it was on sale from 699 down to 459 for the bosch black color scheme.
The only thing I wish that was available was custom cheekpads included at this price. I knew I needed the 12mm pads instead of the stock 20's but I understand the need to buy it that way, just wish I didn't have to.
First time out with the helmet, I noticed it fogging up a lot but I attribute that to the fact it was 15 degrees and I didn't have the vents set up right. I bought this helmet as an off-road helmet for use on my 755 raptor. Trail riding I don't want to wear goggles, so I thought this would be a good solution to that. Fit and finish of the helmet is fantastic.
For me this is the perfect helmet so far. I don't think I would have bought it for 700 but with the 459 sale on it, it is a perfect solution for my needs. It will never see on road riding, but I have no doubt it will protect me in the trails.
