I was mainly in the market for a good winter jacket that wasn't too bulky or looked like a parka, and this definitely fit the bill. Right off the bat, this jacket looks phenomenal, the snap closures at the wrists are a nice touch and the logos and coloring are eye catching yet simple. I've worn it down to the 40's for 30 mins or so and it kept me very warm, once it reaches the 80's with the liner out and the vents open it gives decent airflow but I don't think it'll go through a 100+ summer. Overall, I would say that you'll get a solid 2.5 - 3 seasons out of this jacket, a GREAT buy.

What size would you reccomend for a 5'8 rider, 155 lbs, 40 inch chest?
I'm 5'9, 130 and I ordered the 50 (40 us) and it fits really well, but I had to bring in the waist. So i think this same size would fit you perfectly.

For the protectors, is there a forearm protector as well?
The elbow protector extends down to the forearm, so yes.
