I have bothe the Dual Sport version of this helmet and the MX version. Both are great helmets, especially for the money.
If you compare the DS helmet to other brands', the decision came easy for me. I've been using Shoei Hornets and Arais for a while now, but the simple fact of the matter is, the AGV is lighter, cheaper and looks better as well. Safety wise, i cannot say, because i have not fallen off yet, but the testing has been done, so i believe them!
Usually, i wear L helmets, but these tend to be a bit larger, so i had a bit of looseness.
Overall fit and finish is great, no complaints of bad fittings or scratches.
Inner liner is easy to remove for cleaning and the anti-bacterial aspect of it definitely helps (After many hours of riding, it still doesn't smell like a pig-sty!).
The major downside i find with it is the ventilation. Riding in very hot climate, i definitely need to crack the shield for more cooling, since the cooling over the head is minimal at best. I'm not sure if i'm doing something wrong, but it's my only gripe.
Overall, both the DS and MX versions of the helmet are absolutely great. The weight alone is worth it.
Would definitely recommend again.

Great armor jacket for the price, albeit, get it one size bigger.
Been using it for Enduro riding primarily and am very satisfied. I'm 6' at 210 lbs, so definitely more hefty. Fits snug everywhere, but tends to ride up the belly a bit, ahem...
Overall fit is great, though. Ventilation is good. Comfort is also very good. Moving around on the bike is no problem at all.
For the money, this vest/jacket is extremely hard to beat. Full back protection is a huge plus, too.
Would definitely recommend this product.

Does this item fit the 2012 AGV AX-8 DS EVO helmet?
I have both the DS and MX version, they fit almost exactly the same. My DS is one generation older, however, and seems to be a bit bigger. The MX version fits me a lot better, actually.
So, they are very similar, almost negligible differences.

Large or X-Large?
I'm 6 foot tall and 190lbs and I would like to know if the large or x-large would be a better fit.
I bought a large and i weigh at LEAST 20 pounds more than you. The fit is snug, but alright, the only problem i have is that the belly tends to... erm... kinda go free.
So for you, i would say a Large is fine. It's snug, quite snug, but you don't want the padding to move around. Unless you have similar belly problems as me, you should be fine!
