I've never been a big fan of Sidi's exoskeleton styling, but it's hard to fault their boots' protection and functionality.
The adventure rain is a burly boot. I wanted something that would give me the protection of a dirt boot with the flexibility of my previous boots, Sidi Vertebra tepor, which are a road racing style. These are not as sleek and don't fit under pants as easily as the vertebras. The adventures won't allow you to shift a sportbike without adjusting the shift pedal, either. They do allow me to walk around, and with a replacement footbed, they are actually pretty comfortable after they break in.

Could you give me the height of the boot from the bottom of the ankle to the top of the boot (not including the sole)

Is this boot capable of being re-soled?
Appears to be a stitched sole, however would like to confirm the design. No direct info appears on Sidi's parts page.
doesn't look like it, the entire sole is molded out of rubber and fused on.
