Biltwell Bonanza Helmet - Solid Biltwell has attacked the status quo with a line of DOT-approved open-face helmets in a whole new range of tough-looking paint finishes. In a few short years, Biltwell open-face helmets have become as common as denim and leather at motorcycle hoedowns from Baja to the Big Apple. There's a Biltwell Bonanza helmet to fit everyone's individual head and style. This leaner, lighter and even more comfortable DOT-approved 3/4 lid boasts the same classic finishes as Biltwell's other lids on an even lower-profile molded ABS shell. The Bonanza's interior boasts a custom-shaped EPS safety shell and a hand-stitched removable liner with moisture wicking brushed Lycra panels and open-cell foam padding for breathability and comfort. The nylon neck strap features plated steel D-rings and a strap retainer with Biltwell anvil branding. The Biltwell Bubble Shield is also available, sold separately. Features: Expanded polystyrene inner shell Meets DOT safety standards Liner with contrasting diamond-stitched quilted open-cell foam padding D-ring neck strap with adjustment strap end retainer Rubber or chrome accent edging Removable liner

Love this helmet.
I'm usually a half-helmet rider, but have been wanting a 3/4 for some time now for longer rides & colder weather. The Bonanza fit the bill perfectly. I like the 3-snap feature for bubble shields, which I used the other morning when it was colder than usual. Not a fan of big heavy full size helmets, so I was glad when Biltwell came out with this. The Bell's never fit my head correctly, and I need an XL. The Bonanza fits my noggin perfectly and I only needed a large. This thing is so light & comfortable, I hardly even know I'm wearing it.
For the money, it's one of the best values out there.

Wanted to use this for a couple of months before I gave my opinion.
This is not the most technical, warmest or best wind blockage underlayment garment out there, but for the price, it can't be beat.
Very comfortable & true to size. Is thin enough to wear under jackets (leather & textile) without bulking up and still provide lots of mobility in all kinds of riding conditions. Sleeve length & body length are perfect while in riding position and even off the bike. The tall collar is long enough to peek out from under my jacket collar and provide my neck with extra protection & warmth. I like the wide opening the zipper provides for easy on & off. Doesn't feel like I'm putting a condom over my head. The zipper could be a little better quality though, but it works fine once you get the hang of it.
I only wear this as an outer layer if it's in the high 60's to mid 70's. Like I said it's not great at blocking wind.
All in all, an excellent value and great addition to my riding wardrobe.
