This jacket was a little lighter in weight than I was expecting. I like the fit of the jacket, if you have wide hips (like me) this jacket flares out towards the hips which I love. I tend to have a problem fitting jackets because I need a larger size for my hips/waist area, but not so large in the chest area. This jack flows a lot of air. I haven't had the chance to ride it in summer temps in Texas yet, or test its protection or durability (only had it about two weeks) but I think it would hold up well. Overall, if you're looking for a good summer jacket, or don't plan on riding much in colder temps, then I'd recommend this jacket. The only surprise I had when I received it, was the Knox armor was "softer and lighter in weight" than I was expecting, and from what I've been able to find online, you can't upgrade it to anything else.

Sometimes a name says it all-'Ventilated Riding Shoe'. Built on an ultra comfortable athletic bottom unit, the Tarmac is up to the challenge of the mean summertime streets. Internally the Tarmac is heaven, built around a wicked outsole for a custioned ride but reinforced with an Axialmetric steel shank. But externally is where the Tarmac really shines. The chassis is built from a street-proof combination of action leather and ultra-durable vented Rocpro mesh. Heel, toe, and ankle plastic plates combine to serve and protect. The hidden constant tension lacing system provides killer fit while keeping the eyestay area snag free. If you've ever hooked your shoe laces in your shifter than you know all about the necessity of this feature. I purchased this boot because I wanted something with more protection than a regular shoe, but that didn't look like a power ranger boot or something like that. I've only worn them on the bike a total of 3 times so far, but so far so good. They fit true to size from what I can tell. I tend to have a wide foot, and these do not squeeze or pinch my toes in any area. I can't comment on the durability yet, as I've only had them for about two weeks. I've worn them for about 8 hours straight, doing things around town and they are very comfortable once you're off the bike as well. The only "con" that I had, was that the toe box area is pretty thick, which from a protection standpoint is probably a good thing, but it took a little getting use to for me because it's more of an effort to get your toe under the shift lever. Overall I'd say this boot was a good buy.
