This jacket has a couple of uses:
1. It serves as a an everyday casual winter jacket. It is waterproof/windproof shell, and layering under it with a sweater makes it very warm. Also the Jacket looks great, lots of compliments.
2. Great for use on a snowmobile, could be used for skiing or other snow sports as well.
3. Great over-jacket for use on a motorcycle. The jacket does not have CE armor in it, but throw it over top of your every-day motorcycle jacket and you are now wind and waterproof, ready to tackle the cold and wet riding season.

While certainly on the pricey side, you are getting Held quality and protection in a Gore-Tex glove utilizing X-trafit technology. All the bells & whistles cost money.
X-trafit means the waterproof liner is laminated to the outside of the glove (you do not feel it) and it does not try to pull itself out when your hands are damp. These gloves were extremely comfortable from day 1 and needed no break-in.
There is no direct ventilation so for 90F+ days I would want a mesh glove, but in the 80's this glove was fine for me. It comfortable got me down to the low 50's (have not had a chance to lower). It is Gore-Tex so rain is a non-issue.
For commuting or a multi-day adventure when you do not know what weather you are going to hit, this is the glove to bring.

Excellent All Around Jacket

5'9 / 155lbs the size MD fits me perfectly both with and without the liners.
With liner out and all vents open I was comfortable moving in dry 90 degree heat, anything hotter then that and I don't care what jacket you are in it will be toasty. The two-way zips on the arms are great.
The jacket was comfortable down to about 55 degrees with vents closed and just a t-shirt underneath. With the liner in you could get into the 40's and you could go lower with proper layering
Protection wise, while the D30 is thin and low profile it is comforting to know you are not sacrificing anything from an impact rating standpoint.
From a style standpoint the color panels are well though out and it is just an overall "good" looking jacket.
You get what you pay for, while on the pricier side for Firstgear, with this jacket Firstgear has definitely upped their game.

Perfect Waterproof Glove

The Held Score Gloves are perfect for fall, summer and spring riding where it is either going to be a bit on cooler side or if there is a chance of getting wet. The gloves are fully waterproof, without a bulky thermal liner.
The Held X-Trafit lining really makes the different, with other gloves the waterproof liner pulls out when you pull your hands out.
The other nice feature of this glove is the visor wiper on the index finger, and the reinforced knuckles. Many of the "summer waterproof" gloves in other brands are sorely lacking in protection.
As with other Held gloves, these are pricey but are simply oozing with quality

I am 5'9, 155lbs with a 39" chest and large fits me just about perfect (snug)
This undersuit makes putting my race suit on and taking it off a breeze (especially on those hot and sticky days I could not imagine not having it)
The moisture wicking really does work, this suit does a great job at keeping you dry on the sweaty days as well. The suit zips from both the top and bottom (you can make a bathroom run without taking off the entire suit!)

I picked this jacket up on closeout for a screaming deal. The leather is of a very quality with lots of protection. You really feel safe wearing this jacket.
Style-wise it looks great. Lots of complements.
Fit is snug, it runs one size small compared to other revit jackets. I am wearing a 52 and it is snug on me, I am 5'10, 160 lbs with a 39" chest. I wear a size 50 in the REV'IT Phoenix Leather Jacket.
While there is not a ton of perforation on the jacket, there are some. I would say it is best for fall / spring weather. With some layering you could go pretty cold with this jacket.
Pros Great Value, Comfortable, Fashionable
Yes, I recommend this product.

5'10 160 and a large fits me perfectly (with a little room to spare)
This is a fantastic looking jacket which provides a lot of utility as well. I initially balked at the price, but it is worth it. As always with REV'IT, you are paying for functionality and quality of materials, not just a name.
I use this as a casual jacket, and I also wear it under my REV'IT Air Jacket which allows me to get three season utility out of the mesh air jacket.
The jacket is light weight, with a seemingly waterproof shell (with the jacket on I stuck my arm under a faucet and when I removed it the water just beaded off and the jacket was 100% dry).
I absolutely recommend it

This piece is a great theft deterrant. The alarm is very loud. It is motion sensitive, but appears to have just the right sensitivity. Unless I rock the bike I have never set it off accidentally. It also gives a warning beep off first before the full on alarm goes.
Both the warning and full alarm are loud enough to get an entire neighborhoods attention. With a cover and the Xena alarm I'm comfortable leaving my bike out on the streets of Philly (even with my windows closed I would be able to hear the alarm go off)
Pros Rugged, Great Value, Loud
Yes, I recommend this product.

Shoei Neotec Modular Helmet Evolving on previous designs, Shoei has revamped its modular helmet style with a streamlined and attractively sculpted shape that conveys the feel of freely moving through the outdoors in the Shoei Neotec Modular Helmet. Overall shell size is kept compact by incorporating the internal sun visors open/close mechanism inside all ventilation mechanisms are shaped and positioned in such a way as to reduce any possible drag. A redesigned aerodynamic spoiler also helps to cut lift, reducing neck strain on long, cross country rides. In the Shoei Neotec all these features combine to create a premium helmet that excels in appearance, protection, comfort and performance. The Shoei Neotec Helmets chin bar is connected to the same axis point and mechanism as its shield, minimizing extra parts. This also enables simultaneous closing of the shield with the chin bar, which is then held in place with an easy-open lock release button. The shield lock system offers secure closure or the ability to keep the shield slightly open to allow for increased airflow. With the Shoei Neotec Helmet, Shoei now includes a built-in sun shield, the QSV-1. The visor tucks neatly away beneath a non-intrusive shell built into the helmets liner, and can be lowered with the easy control of a sliding button. Shoei Neotec Helmet Features Face Shield Features Easily operable lever mechanism Anti-fog, anti-scratch, 99 UV blocking New Pinlock-ready CNS-1 faceshield Wider and taller than the CX-1V that it replaces Includes Pinlock insert 3D injection molding process ensures a distortion-free view Improved Ventilation and Aerodynamics Newly designed vortex generators pull air through helmet 276 more airflow than Multitec Added inlets and outlets Vents are flush against helmet to maintain aerodynamics 5-Ply Shock-Absorbing Fiber Shell 3 shell sizes AIM Multi-Composite construction Lightweight yet strong Shell-integrated spoiler reduces lift and drag during high-speed riding Dual EPS Liner Multi-density EPS for optimal protection Two vents funnel fresh air through the EPS liner Dual liner channels route and disperse air evenly throughout the helmet EPS liner in chin bar All new interior Fully removable 3D interior liner Top center pad is removable and washable Improved cheekpad design allows better fit with eyeglasses Included chin curtain can be inserted into the chin bar to reduce turbulence and noise All Neotec Helmets sold in the US have a double D-ring closure Be sure to check out our Shoei Neotec Review above, in which we detail and break down all of the features and functionality of the brand new Shoei Neotec Helmet. Note Due to manufacturer restrictions, Shoei products can only be shipped to addresses within the United States

How does this compare to the Schuberth C3?

The C3 is still significantly lighter at 3lbs 8oz vs the Neotec at 3lbs 14oz. This would be noticeable while riding. The Schuberth shell is also more compact (although the Neotec is a big improvement over the Multitec in this regard).

The Schuberth uses a ratcheting chin strap vs a double d-ring on the Shoei. Which one is better will come down to personal taste.

For ventilation I think the Shoei will have a slight edge.

Overall they are close, the Shoei is quite a bit cheaper. The key difference will probably come down to fit.

Helmet - Ausralian Standard sticker

Hi, I wanted to know if the shipped helmet will have an approved Australian Standard stickers since I will be wearing here in Australia?
All helmets sold by RevZilla (and any other US dealers) will include a DOT sticker for use in the US. They may also include a Snell M2005 or Snell M2010 sticker or an ECE 22.05 sticker. These helmets will not include an AUS standards sticker, and thus would technically be illegal to wear in Australia.

Xantum Jacket

I am interested in purchasing the Xantum Jacket. I am also very interested in the pants that the model is wearing in the picture of the jacket. Looks like a very nice combo. I assume the jacket and pants zip together and both have the D-Dry membrane. I wear a 54 jacket and 52 pants in BMW apparrel size. Thanks.
It looks like the pants are either the D-System D-Dry or Tomsk, I am not sure which one though!

 Shift Faction Suicidal Pant
Shift Faction Suicidal Pant
Aggressively articulated design in the waist and knees conform to the rider while in the ride position. X-Stretch 4-way stretch panel in the crotch increases riding mobility. Knee panel flex-zones increase mobility and improve fit over knee braces and guards. Full-grain leather inner knee panels for maximum heat and abrasion resistance.

Do they have any armour in the knees?

Contrary to what Daniel has stated, there is NO CE or other armor in the knees on these pants. There is a full-grain leather inner knee panes for heat and abrasion resistance, but no armor which would provide any impact resistance.

This is common practice in dirt bike / MX style pants, typically impact protection is provided by a standalone knee guard.
